Bread Recipe


Mix:  2 ½ teaspoons dry yeast

         ½ teaspoon sugar

         1 cup warm water

          Set aside

 

Mix:  1 Tablespoon sugar

         1 egg ( or egg substitute)

          ½ teaspoon vinegar

          3 Tablespoons butter Crisco (a little more flavor)

 

Add to yeast mixture.

 

Blend these:

     ¾ cup white rice flour

     ¾ cup tapioca flour

    1/3 cup dry buttermilk

    1 ½ teaspoon zanthan gum

     ¾ teaspoon baking powder

     ½ teaspoon salt

 

Mix yeast mixture with egg and shortening mixture

and beat with mixer.

Add 2/3 of dry ingredients and mix thoroughly,

add rest and mix again.

 

Spoon mixture into English muffin pan and smooth top with wet spoon.

Let rise in warm place for 15 to 20 minutes.

Heat oven to 375o and bake for 20 minutes.
